Return & Refund Policy

 

Thank you for shopping with SteelHorse Equipment. Due to the nature of the products we sell, including mini excavators, mini skid steers, attachments, and heavy equipment, returns and refunds are subject to the terms outlined below. Please review this policy carefully before placing an order.


 

Return Eligibility and Deadline

Returns may be requested within 30 days of delivery for eligible items only.

To qualify for a return, all of the following conditions must be met:

  • The item must be unused, uninstalled, and unopened

  • The item must be in original, factory-sealed condition

  • The item must be returned with all original packaging and accessories

  • Proof of purchase is required

Used, operated, fueled, or registered machines are not eligible for return.

Please do not send products back to the manufacturer.


 

Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return or refund:

  • Mini excavators, skid steers, or machines that have been used, started, or operated

  • Equipment that has been fueled, oiled, or assembled

  • Items showing signs of wear, installation, or modification

  • Opened or used attachments

  • Items returned more than 30 days after delivery

  • Clearance, final sale, or special-order items

Any issues related to performance, defects, or mechanical failure on used equipment are handled under our Warranty Policy, not this Return Policy.


 

Restocking Fee

Approved returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee. This fee will be deducted from the refund amount.


 

Return Authorization Process

All returns require prior authorization.

To request a return, please contact us using the Contact Us link on our website and include:

  • Your original order number

  • The item(s) you wish to return

  • The reason for the return

If your order has not yet shipped, you may request a cancellation.

If your order has already shipped, you must accept delivery before return arrangements can be made.

Customers are responsible for the product until it is received and inspected at our warehouse.


 

Return Shipping and Freight Costs

  • Customers are responsible for all return shipping and freight costs

  • Original outbound shipping costs are non-refundable

  • If SteelHorse Equipment arranges return freight, the cost will be deducted from the refund

  • A return fee equal to the original outbound shipping cost may also be deducted

Freight return costs for heavy equipment can be substantial and vary by location.


 

Refunds

Refunds are issued only after the returned item is received and inspected at our warehouse.

If approved, refunds will be processed to the original method of payment within a reasonable number of business days. Processing times may vary depending on your financial institution.


 

Late or Missing Refunds

If you have not received your refund:

  1. Check your bank account again

  2. Contact your credit card provider, as posting times vary

  3. Contact your bank for further details

If you have completed these steps and still have not received your refund, please contact us using the Contact Us link. We respond within 24 business hours.


 

Exchanges

We do not offer exchanges on heavy equipment or machinery.

Replacements are only considered for items that arrive damaged or defective, and must be reported within the required timeframe. Mechanical or performance-related concerns after use fall under our Warranty Policy.


 

Shipping Damage and Delivery Issues

All shipments must be inspected at the time of delivery.

  • Any visible damage must be noted on the delivery receipt

  • Damage claims must be reported to us within 48 hours of delivery

Failure to follow these steps may void eligibility for replacement or refund related to shipping damage.

Cosmetic issues such as minor paint scratches or scuffs caused during transit are considered normal for heavy equipment and are not grounds for return.
